If it sounds like something you might be interested in and you happen to be in Telluride, may we suggest Telluride to Ouray over the Imogene Pass. The road leading out of Telluride winds through Tomboy Basin and ascends to Imogene Pass to nearly 13,000+ feet. Interestingly, the drive is a mere seventeen miles yet it will take you about two hours to complete. While that may seem long, in exchange you’re going to find plenty of sweeping, rapturous views of the San Juan range before you descend. Upon descending, the beautiful fields of wildflowers are a visual treat.
