Guardrails are practically non-existent and the cliffs are fearsome, which means Red Mountain Pass certainly comes with a level of danger.
While it is currently closed until further notice due to avalanches, Red Mountain Pass is worth the risk for several reasons, one of them being the spectacular views. Over 2,000 vehicles traverse the mountain pass when it is open, but do keep in mind that is meant for those with lots of off-roading experience.
