Sure enough, one of the campgrounds is located near the popular Ouray Hot Springs Pool. The Ouray KOA Campground is all about the outdoors but it does have conveniences like a restaurant. Located about four miles north of Ouray, the views of the mountains are delightful and there is also live music to enjoy during the weekends.
Less than three miles south of the Ouray Hot Springs when driving is Amphitheater Campground, which is located near the base of a stunning glacial cirque. Mountain views, more than thirty tent-friendly sites, picnic tables, and a pet-friendly policy make this a great spot provided you reserve in advance.
