Jan 11, 2019 | News, Ouray Colorado Condos, Ouray Vacation Rentals

Have you experienced a trip through the famous Million Dollar Highway? If you have yet to travel through Million Dollar Highway, the trip isn’t necessarily that long. At a mere 25 miles, its length is fairly short. However, it more than makes up for its somewhat brief length with lots of things to see and adrenaline pumping thrills. The winding mountain pathways make for quite the memorable trip.

Mining was at one point a traditional thing in the classic days of Colorado and today, remnants of these mines are still on display. You may want to stop by the Old Hundred Gold Mine Tour which will take you back through history. Then again, you can check out some of the ghost towns like Animas Forks. In the past, these ghost towns were brimming with people seeking fame and riches. To take a peek into the past, these ghost towns are a must visit.

Those that love to be among nature may want to check out the San Juan National Forest which is close to two million acres of superior mountain peaks, desert, huge canyons, and verdant meadows. Go for a hike, a leisurely bike ride, catch a fish, there are lots of activities to partake in and the sights are a visual delight.
