A pair of place not far from Ouray were discussed, the first of these being Red Mountain Pass along U.S. Highway 550 between Ouray and Durango. Also well-known by its famous “Million Dollar Highway” moniker, the trip is an ideal summer experience as you won’t find the dangerous snow that tends to accumulate there during the Colorado winter season.
The other drive mentioned in the Out There Orlando post is San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway which comprised over 200 scenic miles of enchanting vistas of southwestern Colorado. There are plenty of spots along the way to enjoy some al fresco recreation such as biking, fishing, and more.
